Meet the Bros… Well, the Bro
Belay Bros is run by me, Jake. I'm a Colorado-based climber and instructor with more than 10 years of climbing experience. Climbing is more than a hobby for me — it is a huge part of my life, and I spend just about every free moment I can on the wall or outside on real rock.
I love taking people outside, helping them understand climbing systems, and teaching technical ways to move, communicate, and make decisions in single-pitch terrain. My approach is patient, practical, high-energy, and easygoing. Whether it is your first day climbing outside or you are working toward stronger, more independent outdoor skills, I will build the experience around your goals, comfort level, and what you want to learn.
My goal is simple: create a fun, personal, well-managed climbing day that leaves you feeling more confident, more capable, and excited to keep climbing.
Approach to risk
Every climb starts with preparation, a clear plan, and honest conversation about conditions and goals. Systems are checked, communication is clear, and decisions are made deliberately.
Teaching style
Patient, clear, and hands-on. Concepts are broken down into small wins so you leave the day with skills and awareness you can actually keep.
